Wetlands Work: An Introduction to Atlantic Wetlands for Professionals

This module has been designed for professionals and community members whose work affects wetlands—whether this is through municipal planning processes, forestry practices, or community stewardship efforts and is brought to you by Ducks Unlimited Canada through funding from Environment and Climate Change Canada. 

 

Course Outline:

Wetlands Work learning objectives will be covered through the following five Parts. The module includes a course Introduction and Conclusion. 

  • Part 1: Introduction to the Canadian Wetland Classification System 

  • Part 2: Wetland Function and Ecosystem Services 

  • Part 3: Wetlands and Climate Change 

  • Part 4: Introduction to the Wetland Ecological Services Protocol for Atlantic Canada, and 

  • Part 5: Wetland Management in the Atlantic Provinces 

 

Each Part consists of video followed by a short quiz, with a final quiz following the Conclusion. The module takes about 1 hour to complete. 

After successfully completing the module and correctly answering all quiz questions, you will be able to download a Certificate of Completion
